Appointments

Online and face to face consultations are now available

  • Online consultations are available on Zoom, please book by emailing enquiries@physioandwellness.org.
  • Please be mindful of the appointment type you require. New injuries assessed online require a 45 minute initial assessment unless you are booking through private medical insurance. Any face to face appointments for new cases or injuries require an 'initial physiotherapy assessment' unless you have pre-authorisation from your private medical insurer, in which case choose the corresponding appointment type.
  • First time massage appointments require a minimum 45 minutes
  • All bookings are secure and include a thorough assessment and bespoke exercise prescription tailored to your needs
  • If you are using private medical insurance, pre-authorisation must be obtained prior to your appointment. This will be an authorisarion number or code from your private medical insurer. If you do not have this, you will be liable to pay for your appointment on the day, and can claim back with a valid receipt.

BOOK OR AMEND YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE TODAY or contact us

* To amend you appointment you will first need to cancel your exisitng booking which if self funding, you will automatically be refunded for, before rebooking a new appointment. Cancelled bookings will be refunded within 3-5 business days unless cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment.

Payment

Payment is by card only or through our online booking system which operates using Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards including AMEX. Payment is strictly on the day of treatment or prior to your appointment if using the online booking system

We understand that sometimes cancellations are necessary, however we follow a strict policy for missed appointments, agreed at the time of your first booking. Cancellations are free as long as notice is given more than 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Cancellations with less than 24 hours are charged in full. No shows are also charged in full. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Medical Insurance

We are registered with most of the leading insurance companies including the following:

  • Aviva
  • WPA
  • Cigna
  • Simply Health
  • AXA
  • BUPA
  • Healix
  • Exeter

We no longer accept referrals directly through Vitality health insurance or Nuffield Fusion, but you are welcome to self-fund these sessions and claim back through your insurer with a valid receipt (please check with your insurer as we cannot guarantee full reimbursement).

If your insurance company is not listed please contact us to discuss.

Please advise us if you are claiming treatment through medical insurance when you make your initial appointment. Have all of your insurance details to hand at the time of making your appointment, including your authorisation number and policy number where applicable, to make this process as smooth as possible. If your insurer requires our provider number please contact us.

What to Wear

During your assessment and treatment your physiotherapist will need to investigate areas adjacent to your problem so please dress accordingly. A t-shirt/vest and shorts is usually sufficient. Discretion will be observed at all times.

Treating Minors

Children aged 16 or over can consent to their own treatment and so do not require a parent to attend treatment. If a child aged 16-18 years requests or requires a chaperone, then we request they attend accompanied by an adult.

On the Day

Free on site parking is available at both venues. On arrival, for Winchester, please take a seat in the main reception by the stairs. For Station Mill, Alresford, please take a seat in the waiting area on the second floor, where you will be greeted by your therapist.
